Legislation

The No Child Left Behind Act (P.L. 107-110), which was signed into law January 8, 2002, moved the authority for PT3 from the Elementary and Secondary Education Act to Title II, Part B, of the Higher Education Act of 1965, as amended. P.L. 107-110 also modified the eligibility requirements and some of the rules regarding the use of funds in PT3 for future grants. Existing PT3 grants continue to be governed by the original terms for those grants.
