Other PCB Sediment Sites

There are a number of waterbodies around the country that have sediments contaminated with PCBs.  We have listed, below, links to websites for several of those sites, so you can see what EPA or the respective state agencies are doing to address problems similar to the Hudson River.  This list does not include all other PCB-contaminated sediment sites, but selects some of the major ones.   The links are to EPA or State websites and not to websites maintained by the companies responsible for the contamination or by advocacy groups.

Other sites:

Housatonic River - Massachusetts

The Housatonic River in Pittsfield, Massachusetts is just about one hour away from the Hudson River in Albany.  The Housatonic is often discussed at the same time as the Hudson because both sites are due to PCB discharges originating from General Electric facilities.
