If you see a conusmer product that could hurt someone -- like a hair dryer that sparks or a toy with really sharp points -- who should you tell?

First, tell your parents or other responsible adult. Be sure they remove the product or keep it away from others so that no one gets hurt.

Then, have someone contact the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). Call toll-free at 1-800-638-2772 or report the problem right here on our web site (www.cpsc.gov).

Our job is to keep people safe in and around their homes. It's important for us to know about consumer products that might injure someone.

You can find more information about CPSC's product recalls right here!
