**********************************************************************
In the June 2007 AES broadcast #2007021, the U.S. Census Bureau,
Foreign Trade Division announced the creation of a new license
type C57- Validated End-User (VEU). This license type was the result
of the Commerce Department’s Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS)
final rule on exports destined to China under Authorization
Validated End-User (VEU).
On October 19, 2007, BIS published the names of five initial VEUs,
thus making the reporting of this license type active in AES for
authorized exports to those five VEUs in China. For more information,
please refer to the Export Administration Regulations on the BIS
web site at www.bis.doc.gov.
For AES reporting requirements of license type C57, please see
Appendix F of the Automated Export System Trade Interface Requirements (AESTIR):

All AESPcLink users will need to update their AESDirect code tables
to reflect the update of the License Codes. Users of AESDirect who
file via the website at www.aesdirect.gov will have their code tables
updated automatically via the program.
