IPY scientific publications list available online

The International Polar Year (IPY) scientific publications list, compiled by the American Geological Institute as part of the Cold Regions Bibliography Project, is now available online. The list contains bibliographic records for scientific publications about or resulting from the International Polar Year (IPY) 2007-2008.

The scope of this list is the same as the Antarctic Bibliography and the Bibliography on Cold Regions Science and Technology. The list currently contains 38 records and that number is expected to grow substantially as research publications resulting from the IPY begin to appear in the peer-reviewed literature.

The list will be updated quarterly. It contains full bibliographic information for each publication and links to full-text online when available.  Publications in the list are also included in the International Polar Year Publications Database, created by the Arctic Science and Technology Information System (ASTIS), Cold Regions Bibliography Project (CRBP), Scott Polar Research Institute (SPRI) Library, Discovery and Access of Historic Literature of the IPY (DAHLI) project, and National Information Services Corporation (NISC).

The Cold Regions Bibliography Project is funded by NSF's Antarctic Sciences and Arctic Sciences Divisions of the Office of  Programs through the NSF award ANT 04-40772.
