Description:

El síndrome de la pospoliomielitis (SPP) es una condición que puede afectar a los supervivientes de la poliomielitis en cualquier momento desde los 10 hasta los 40 años después de recuperarse de un ataque inicial del virus de la poliomielitis. El SPP se caracteriza por un debilitamiento adicional de los músculos que fueron dañados anteriormente por la infección de la poliomielitis.
