EPA New England |
2002 Criteria Pollutant Data for New England States are required to develop comprehensive air emissions inventories from all stationary and mobile sources once every three years. The inventories are prepared in a cooperative effort between EPA and the states. EPA's primary role is to develop and maintain methods and procedures for inventory development, and the state's role is to collect the necessary data and prepare the emission estimates. The most recent year for which EPA and the New England State air pollution control agencies have estimated the air emissions of the criteria pollutants for is 2002. These comprehensive emission estimates cover all sectors, including stationary, mobile and area sources. This page contains links to state and regional emission estimates for the following pollutants: volatile organic compounds (VOC), nitrogen oxides (NOx), sulfur oxides (SO2), particulate matter with diameter < 10 micrometers (PM 10), and particulate matter with diameter < 2.5 micrometers (PM 2.5). Emission estimates for the other two criteria pollutants, carbon monoxide and lead, are available from the U.S. EPA's national emissions inventory data website. |
