TRIAD
The Triad approach to decision-making for hazardous waste sites offers a technically defensible methodology for managing decision uncertainty that leverages innovative characterization tools and strategies. The Triad refers to three primary components, systematic planning, dynamic work strategies, and real-time measurement systems.Current Perspectives in Site Remediation and Monitoring: Using the

Technology Information Office Road Map
The Road Map to Understanding Innovative Technology Options for Brownfields Investigation and Cleanup, Third Edition (EPA 542-B-01-001) describes the steps involved in the characterization and cleanup of brownfields sites and connects those steps with available resources. The Tool Kit of Information Resources for Brownfields Investigation and Cleanup accompanies the Road Map to Understanding Innovative Technology Options for Brownfields Investigation and Cleanup. The organization of the Tool Kit matches that of the Road Map.Both documents are provided by the EPA Technology Innovation Office, and identify potential technology options available at each of the basic phases involved in the characterization and cleanup of brownfield sites.

Sustainable Redevelopment
The Sustainable Redevelopment of Brownfields can be ecologically, economically, and socially sound. The nature, context, and perspective of the challenges confronting brownfields practitioners demand this new approach. By integrating the concepts of sustainable development, community involvement, risk management, and collaborative project teams with brownfields redevelopment, brownfields redevelopers can avoid re-creating brownfields and continuing their legacy.Construction and Demolition Material
Construction and demolition material consists of the materials generated during the construction, renovation, and demolition of buildings, roads, and bridges. Reducing and recycling C&D material conserves landfill space, reduces the environmental impact of producing new materials, creates jobs, and can reduce overall building project expenses through avoided purchase/disposal costs. Information on recycling construction and demolition material is available at EPA's Construction and demolition (C&D) debris Web page.Recover Your Resources - Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle Construction and Demolition Materials at Land Revitalization Projects (PDF) (8 pp, 1.4MB)
