Wind Erosion and Water Conservation
a branch of the Cropping Systems Research Laboratory

The Wind Erosion and Water Conservation Unit (WEWC) is located in Big Spring and Lubbock, Texas.  Researchers within this unit concentrate on causes and consequences of soil erosion and plant interaction with aerial soil environments.  Researchers develop wind erosion and water management strategies that alleviate, delay, or moderate the impact of drought and thermal stress on plants.
