headline bar
ARS participates with 1890 Land Grant Universities and Tuskegee University in the Capacity Building Grants program administered by the Cooperative States Research Education and Extension Service. ARS scientists act as collaborators, advisors and mentors in this competitively funded research, and derive benefit from the resulting scientific advances. Students and faculty of our 1890 Land Grant and Tuskegee partners gain experience and broader access to advanced instrumentation and facilities. ARS has participated in 89 of the 170 Capacity Building Grants funded since 1995. Summaries of funded projects are accessible through the following links: FY 1998, FY 1997, FY 1996, and FY 1995.
