Para-Aramid Fibers and Yarns (2/12/1999) - In accordance with section 807 of Public Law 105-261, the Under Secretary of Defense (Acquisition and Technology) waived only the restriction on the source of para-aramid fibers and yarns.  This waiver authorizes the procurement by the Department of Defense of articles that contain para-aramid fibers and yarns manufactured in the Netherlands.  Affected articles that contain para-aramid fibers and yarns must still be manufactured in the United States.  A copy of USD(A&T) waiver is online here. Change Notice 19990201 (2/1/1999) -The Director, Defense Procurement, has suspended use of price evaluation adjustments for small disadvantaged businesses prescribed in FAR Subpart 19.11. -A copy of DDP's memorandum directing the suspension is online here.
