Writing Proposals to Meet NSF's Expectations
A Workshop at the 2008 ASEE Annual Conference and Exposition
June 22, 2008 9:00 AM
to June 22, 2008 5:00 PM
David L. Lawrence Convention Center, Pittsburgh, PA
Engineering faculty members interested in education research and development projects need NSF funding to support their efforts. Since the competition for this funding is constantly increasing, applicants need to learn how to make their proposals more responsive and convincing. This workshop addresses this need with three separate but related sub-sessions on proposal strategies, broader impacts, and project evaluation. Each will introduce several important issues on the topic, have participants engage in a set of group exercises designed to explore, share, and develop their understanding of the issues, and provide some expert opinion on the issues. Participants will be engaged in interactive activities more than one-half time.
