The U.S. Department of Energy's FY 2009 SBIR/STTR Phase I Funding Notice (Funding Opportunity Number: DE-PS02-08ER08-34) is available at Grants.gov. The deadline for receipt of Phase I grant applications to either program is November 20, 2008, 8:00 p.m. EST. All applications must be submitted through Grants.gov. The Funding Notice and Technical Topic Descriptions are also available at the U.S. Department of Energy Technical Topic Descriptions Page.

6th Annual P3 Awards: A National Student Design Competition for Sustainability Focusing on People, Prosperity and the Planet. Solicitation closes December 23, 2008.

Superfund Basic Research and Training Program (SBRP) Grants from the National Institutes of Health, National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) support coordinated, multi-project, interdisciplinary research programs to address the mandates legislated under the Superfund Amendments and Reauthorization Act of 1986. This Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) will utilize the National Institutes of Health P42 multi-project grant mechanism. Successful applicants must include a minimum of two biomedical projects and two non-biomedical projects. NIEHS intends to commit a total of approximately $11.0 million dollars in FY 2010 to fund four to five SBRP grants in response to this FOA. Applications are due by April 15, 2009.
