Legislation

The Office of Vocational and Adult Education helps fund career and technical education through the Carl D. Perkins Vocational–Technical Education Act Amendments of 1998 (Perkins Act), Title I (20 U.S.C. 2321 et seq. , Public Law 105–332). Under the Perkins Act, federal funds are made available to help provide vocational–technical education programs and services to youth and adults.

Regulations

Education Department General Administrative Regulations (EDGAR) also apply.

Policy Guidance

The Office of Vocational and Adult Education issues program memoranda from time to time to guide eligible recipients in their administration of State Basic Grants.
