- Wide-based tires on all new over the road tractors and trailers placed in service beginning 2006
- Engine controller based fuel incentive program, designed to promote maximum fuel economy performance
- Test and evaluation of in-cab stand-alone heating systems
- Automated manual transmissions with intelligent shift logic
- Society of Automotive Engineers / Technology and Maintenance Council of the American Trucking Association-sanctioned field operational fuel tests for evaluating fuel efficiency performance of components and strategies
- 2005 or later engines utilized in 90 percent of fleet
- 256 EPA 2007 compliant engines in service
- Test program beginning January 2008 for EPA 2010 compliant engines
- Test program beginning January 2008 of EAPU systems
