Email Instructions for CPSC Subscription Lists

1. Decide what list you want to subscribe to or unsubscribe from. The choices (see explanation for more information) are:
   
   
   • vsco -- Carbon Monoxide
   • vschild -- Children's Products - Other
   • vsdrown -- Child Drowning Prevention
   • vscodes -- Electrical Codes and Standards
   • vselec -- Electrocution
   • vsfire -- Fire/Gas Codes and Standards
   • vsmech -- Household and Recreation (Mechanical)
   • vspoison -- Poison Prevention
   
   
2. Prepare a new email message to: lyris@list.cpsc.gov
3. To subscribe, type the following (substituting for "listname") in the SUBJECT line:
   
   join listname (where listname = vsco, vschild, vsdrown, vscodes, vselec, vsfire, vsmech, or vspoison)
   
   
4. To unsubscribe, type the following (substituting for "listname") in the SUBJECT line:
   
   leave listname (where listname = vsco, vschild, vsdrown, vscodes, vselec, vsfire, vsmech, or vspoison)
   
   
5. If subscribing, you will get an email requesting confirmation. If unsubscribing, your message must come from your address on our list. If you cannot do this, send a blank email to your personal unsubscribe address (at the end of every list message), or contact the list administrator (pmargolies@cpsc.gov)
6. You can use subscribe instead of join, and unsubscribe instead of leave

   • subscribe vscodes
   • leave vsmech
   • unsubscribe vsco
