The Geosciences and Engineering Division of Southwest Research Institute (SwRI) is a center of excellence in earth sciences and engineering. Internationally recognized for innovative solutions to complex problems in the earth, material, and planetary sciences and allied engineering disciplines, the Geosciences and Engineering Division creates multidisciplinary teams to solve client problems within a framework of risk assessment, system studies, and regulatory analyses. The Division's extensive experience base and understanding of engineering and science fundamentals also assists clients by identifying emerging technical issues.
The Geosciences and Engineering Division conducts its vigorous research and development program through two departments, the Center for Nuclear Waste Regulatory Analyses (CNWRA®) and the Department of Earth, Material and Planetary Sciences.
