The Science and Technology Policy Institute (STPI) assists the Executive Branch of the US government as it formulates federal S&T policy by providing objective, high-quality analytic support to inform policymakers. Chartered by an act of Congress in 1991, STPI provides the highest quality and rigorously objective technical analytical support for the Office of Science and Technology Policy and other government users, under the sponsorship of the National Science Foundation.
