Sonoran Desert Research Station is one of the premier USGS research stations that utilize collaborative, multi-disciplinary teamwork to produce quality natural science research and solutions for the conservation of Western North American ecosystems.

SDRS Mission Statement

The Sonoran Desert Research Station, as a part of the SBSC, conducts basic and applied research to provide quality scientific information and education relevant to the conservation and management of the nation’s biological resources, with an emphasis on species and ecosystems of Southwestern North America.
