The Natural Resources Research Center (NRRC)

Natural Resource Research Center: Creating a Sense of PlaceThe Natural Resources Research Center (NRRC) is a unique, 30-acre campus on property leased from Colorado State University (CSU) in Fort Collins, Colorado. The NRRC, developed to support and enhance research on natural resources issues, represents a partnership of six federal agencies from the Department of Agriculture and the Department of the Interior, the U.S. General Services Administration, and CSU. With its sixth building completed in 2005, the NRRC houses the research and support functions of more than 1,200 natural resource professionals.

The NRRC collocation effort is the first time numerous agencies have collaborated to consolidate and share work space, resources, and staff. This collocation will enhance service to customers; speed dissemination of useful natural resource-related information within the government and to other researchers, students, and citizens; facilitate joint research opportunities; improve technology transfer; and enhance collaboration with the university's academic community.
