CHE Proposal Window and Deadlines

Dear Colleague Letter: Significant Change to NSF Division of Chemistry's Unsolicited Proposal Submission Window (NSF 07-139).

National Science Foundation's Revised Cost Sharing Policy (NSF 10-04).

DIVISION OF CHEMISTRY PROPOSALS

Submission Window for:

  • Division of Chemistry Disciplinary Research Activities
  • Research In Undergraduate Institutions (NSF 00-144)
    • Faculty Researcy Projects
    • Research Opportunity Awards
    • Research Instrumentation Grants**
  1. July 1st (8:00 a.m., local time) to July 31st (5:00 p.m., local time); and
  2. November 1st (8:00 a.m., local time) to November 30th (5:00 p.m., local time).

Principal Investigators (PIs) may submit their proposal in either window. However, PIs should consider submitting their proposal in July if the proposal is bio-oriented or in November if it is materials research-oriented in order to enhance co-funding opportunities.

**Please note: The deadline for RUI Research Instrumentation Grants is the same as for CRIF departmental multi-user instrumentation grants, i.e. the Fourth Monday in June, annually.
