The Canadian Plastic Industry, valued at over US$30.6 billion in 2007, is one of the largest industries in Canada based on dollar value of shipments and is ranked 4^th behind Motor Vehicles, Petroleum Refineries and Motor Vehicle parts. Total imports in 2007 were valued at US$6.8 billion, of which the U.S. accounted for 73%.
