From June 1 to 6, CS offices in Toronto and Montreal hosted First Energy Corp of Akron, OH for its 13th trade mission to Canada under its Export NOW program.

The trade mission was comprised of eleven SMEs from Pennsylvania and Ohio. These companies had 70 appointments, received economic/political briefings and, while in Ontario, most of the companies participated in a second day of briefings on "How To Get Your Products into Canada Successfully" at the Canadian Border Services Agency's office at the Peace Bridge in Ft. Erie.  As part of the Bridges to Prosperity initiative with our border USEACs, CS Buffalo recruited four represenatives from two companies to join the border briefing.

One company reported a sales prospect and a majority of the participants said that the mission met their objectives.  First Energy officials were optimistic that this week's appointments will result ultimately in export successes for these companies.
