30 CFR §56/57.12030 Correction of dangerous conditions
When a potentially dangerous condition is found it shall be corrected before equipment or wiring is energized

 

This standard requires that potentially dangerous conditions be corrected before equipment or wiring is energized.

 

There is no MSHA policy for this standard.

 

Issues to Consider in Determining Compliance:

·        Is there a potentially dangerous electrical condition?

Ø      Is the equipment or wiring energized?

Ø      Is the potentially dangerous condition corrected before the equipment or wiring is energized?

·        Are persons, or could persons be, affected by the potentially dangerous condition?
