U.S. Department of Labor to visit Richland, Wash., to assist nuclear weapons workers
WASHINGTON The U.S. Department of Labor will visit Richland, Wash., to provide information about the Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Program Act (EEOICPA). Through town hall meetings, officials will present details about a new class of former employees of the Hanford Nuclear Reservation in Richland recently added to the EEOICPA’s Special Exposure Cohort. The department’s Traveling Resource Center staff will be available at the town hall meetings to assist individuals with filing claims under the EEOICPA. Representatives from the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health also will be in attendance to provide information.
