Northern Prairie Wildlife Research Center (NPWRC)
The Northern Prairie Wildlife Research Center (NPWRC) studies the biological resources of the nation’s prairies and wetlands, focusing on the terrestrial species of birds, mammals, plants, and invertebrates that occur in the Great Plains and parts of Canada. Areas of research include the recovery of wildlife—especially, but not exclusively, wolves and migratory birds; methods to control invasive species of plants; and the classification, monitoring and restoration of wetland habitats.
