Extension of Comment Period for LM-30 NPRM and Fiduciary RFI

The Department of Labor will publish in the Federal Register on Monday October 24, 2005 a notice extending the time in which interested parties can comment on the proposed rule concerning Labor Organization Officer and Employee (Form LM-30) Reports. The comment period, now set to end on October 28, 2005, will be extended for an additional ninety (90) days. See 70 Federal Register p. 61400 (PDF). On the same date, the Department of Labor also will publish a notice extending for ninety (90) days the time in which interested parties can comment on the Request for Information regarding Guidelines for Fiduciary Responsibilities for Union Officials. See 70 Fed. Reg. 61472 (PDF). The deadline for comments on the proposed rule and the Request for Information will now be January 26, 2006.
