USGS Education Map Catalog
The USGS publishes over 76,000 different maps in a wide variety of scales, with themes ranging from topography, geology, imagery, culture, history, national parks and monuments, water resources, the environment, land status, land cover, minerals, oil, natural gas, geomagnetism, gravity, earthquakes, landslides, floods, volcanoes, and many more themes. While most of the area covered is within the USA, many international maps exist, while others are literally out of this world--USGS maps of the Moon, Mars, other planets, Io, Ganymede, and other moons. Click on any of the 12 themes or images below to browse a sample of USGS maps of that theme.
