Creating Vectors with Arrowheads

This extension allows you to create vectors from a point theme, convert the vectors to graphics and add graphic arrowheads to the vector graphics.  You can download the extension from here.

Warning: This extension does not work very well with large datasets

• Open ArcView and add the "Create Vectors and Arrow Heads" extension.
• File: Extensions
• Activate Create Vectors and Arrow Heads.
• When activated, this extension should add multiple buttons.
• Add and activate a point theme with vector fields defined.
• Choose the button.
  • Select a Theme: 
    • From and To Columns
    • From and Offset Columns
  • Select either:
    • From X or Y
    • To X or Y
• This process will convert your point file to a line shape file.
• Add and and activate (select) your new shape file in the theme.
• Choose the button.  This will convert your shape to a graphic.
  • You can now change your graphic attributes.
• Choose the button.  
  • Choose the size of the arrowhead.
