Frontier Hard Chrome, Inc.
Site Summary
The Frontier Hard Chrome groundwater and soil hotspot was cleaned up via in-situ reduction in the summer of 2003. Since 2004, hexavalent chromium concentrations in groundwater have met federal drinking water quality standards. Groundwater monitoring is now occurring under the direction of the Washington State Department of Ecology. The site will continue to be monitored for the foreseeable future to prevent chemical rebound reactions which might result in hexavalent chromium concentrations increasing above cleanup standards. The site continues to be monitored to ensure long-term effectiveness of the remedy.
