SV-0343 - Pay Band G/H/I/J
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
The Program Analyst is responsible for supporting daily operational activities of assigned programs or projects; developing programs; and integrating related processes. After devising or selecting the methodology to examine variables, raw data, and procedural or process information to evaluate and improve operational processes, the Program Analyst conducts studies and formulates recommendations based on findings of major significance to serve as the basis for new administrative systems, processes, policies, and guidelines; and advises management on organizational structure, work methods, and procedures based on program evaluation and regulations.
G Band - Performs routine multiple and varying assignments under the direction of a manager, FSD, project/program manager, team leader or more experienced professional; acts an individual contributor and/or member of a team for projects/programs within a defined area of responsibility.
H Band - Performs multiple and varying assignments under the limited direction of a manager, FSD, project/program manager, team leader, or more experienced professional; acts as an individual contributor and/or member of a team and may have some leadership responsibility for small projects/programs or other work activities.
I Band - Performs multiple, varying and complex assignments under the minimal direction of a manager, FSD, project/program manager, team leader or more experienced professional; acts as an individual contributor and/or member of a team and may have some leadership responsibility for small projects/programs or other work activities.
J Band - Requires significantly more experience, and responsibilities are substantially broader and more complex than for lower band levels. Leadership responsibilities at the J Band level are significant and continuous.
Qualifications:
- All applicants must demonstrate one year of specialized experience equivalent to that of the next lower pay band/grade level in the Federal service or private sector.
- For the SV-G pay band, applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to that of the SV-F pay band or the GS-9 grade level.
- For the SV-H pay band, applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the SV-G pay band or the GS-11 level.
- For the SV-I pay band, applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the SV-H pay band or the GS-12 grade level.

- Technical Competency: working knowledge of evaluation methodology, including metrics, fact-finding, and investigative techniques, to conduct studies and quantitative/qualitative analyses of organizational effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity.
