EPA has finalized the ENERGY STAR Refrigerated Beverage Vending Machine specification. As such, the comment period is now closed. Manufacturers interested in joining ENERGY STAR should visit the Manufacturers and Retailers Resources page. Interested parties can contact Rachel Schmeltz, EPA, at schmeltz.rachel@epa.gov with any questions about the specifications or ENERGY STAR program.
EPA announced the new ENERGY STAR Refrigerated Beverage Vending Machine Specification at the NAMA Spring Expo, April 1-2 in Las Vegas, NV. EPA and NAMA representatives worked together to promote ENERGY STAR manufacturing partners and qualified products throughout the show. EPA conducted a meeting with members of the refrigerated beverage vending machine industry and the energy efficiency community to discuss the possibility of developing an ENERGY STAR specification for refrigerated beverage vending machines.
