To bring together ENERGY STAR qualified imaging equipment stakeholders to discuss the latest Draft 2 (Version 1.0) Program Requirements for Imaging Equipment, and gain feedback on key topics in preparation for the final specification. Additional goals include:

  • Discuss how Draft 2 specification limits were developed,
  • Share initial EPA conclusions from functional-adder analysis of currently-qualified Ink Jet products,
  • Share EPA's initial thoughts on Draft 2 comments received, and
  • Convey process for partnership and product qualification under Version 1.0.

Hosted by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the U.S. Department of Energy, and Nevada Power, the meeting brought together ENERGY STAR utility, state, regional groups, and lighting (CFLs and light fixtures) industry partners to discuss current issues, products, and prospective collaboration efforts for this year.

ENERGY STAR International Stakeholders Meetings

Date: March 14, 2005 and wrap up on March 17, 2005

Location: Washington, DC

Description:
These meetings will convene international ENERGY STAR program implementers, from government agencies in Australia, Canada, the European Union, Japan, New Zealand, Taiwan, and the U.S., to discuss the status of ENERGY STAR in each country. The meeting on March 14 will run from 9:00 a.m. until approximately 5:00 p.m. and international implementers are invited to make a brief, 15 to 20 minute presentation to showcase their activities. The wrap up meeting on March 17 will begin at 10:00 a.m. and will run until approximately 4:00 p.m. Both meetings will be held at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency at 1310 L Street, NW, Washington, DC. ENERGY STAR Imaging Equipment Specification Revision - Stakeholder Meeting

Description:
This will be a roundtable discussion of the revision of the ENERGY STAR specifications for Imaging Equipment. We will explore the recent updates to the Typical Electricity Consumption (TEC) test procedure, Operational Mode test procedure, and test conditions. We will also discuss the grouping of products under different testing approaches and specification categories, and time frames for testing products and issuing draft and final specifications.

The meeting will run from 9:00 a.m. until approximately 4:00 p.m. and will be held at the Greater Washington Board of Trade at 1725 Eye Street, NW, Washington, DC.
