RSS Feeds The Department of the Interior RSS feed delivers headlines and links to Interior news releases, audio files, news en Español, and the Secretary's speeches on www.doi.gov/news.html. RSS is an acronym for Really Simple Syndication or Rich Site Summary. It is an XML-based method for distributing the latest news and information from a website that can be easily read by a variety of news readers or aggregators. RSS is an easy way for you to be alerted when content that interests you appears on your favorite websites. Instead of visiting a website to browse for new articles and features, RSS automatically notifies you when something new is posted online all through your downloaded news reader. To subscribe, you will need to download and install an RSS reader, or use a web-based service. Then, you copy and paste the URL of the news feed into the viewer's "subscribe" dialogue.
