Held at the Officers Club, this performance drew a large audience including representatives from The Boeing Company and the NEA, as well as the executive director of the Pensacola Opera. Pensacola Opera presented a cabaret-style performance called "Opera and All That Jazz." Highlights included songs from Carmen, West Side Story, and My Fair Lady. Students were invited to two performances of the children's opera The Three Little Pigs at the base's Youth Center School Age Building earlier in the day. The success of performances at Eglin AFB has led to increased interaction between the base and the opera company, resulting in a return invitation to perform.
