UNICOR metals factories turn out a wide variety of items, including lockers, pallet racks, catwalks, waste receptacles and systems furniture. Every one of these products is now coated with a powder paint, which is electrically charged in a special booth, causing the powder to adhere to the items on contact. Any powder that is not charged falls to the bottom of the booth, where it is captured and reused.

While the paint, without toxic compounds, is environmentally friendly, it also has other substantial benefits. It is significantly more durable and does not chip, resulting in far lower maintenance costs for customers.

UNICOR was a pioneer in the use of powder paints, which it started using as early as 1985.
