A passenger approached the TSA supervisor's desk at Chicago Midway International Airport recently, handing Lead Transportation Security Officer Jeff Kobierski a wallet that he had mistakenly picked up at a Ft. Myers, Fla., airport checkpoint.
Inside, Kobierski and Supervisory TSO Barry Donald found identification, credit cards and $1,659 in cash.
Since the wallet's owner had not contacted TSA Ft. Myers, John Devona, Midway's customer support manager, searched online and located him.
"You really made our day!" said the wallet's elderly owner, adding that he had not known who to contact regarding the loss.
