Price-Based Waivers Implementation Procedures

In March, 2003, FPI’s Board of Directors adopted a resolution specifying that FPI grant waivers in all cases where the private sector provides a lower price for a comparable product that FPI does not meet. Draft implementation procedures were developed and posted to this web site, so that interested parties could make comments to ensure there were no vital omissions, insufficient explanations, or navigational issues. All of the comments received were reviewed by the Board, and the final version of implementation procedures approved by the Board, prior to posting as part of a newly formatted, comprehensive and easy-to-use section titled Purchasing From FPI – Made Simple (see Justifications for a Waiver ). Interested parties have a right to raise questions at any time with FPI’s Board of Directors.
