I want to strongly urge that the Access Board do not implement the draft
proposals requiring the mandate of audible traffic signals and detectable
traffic intersections. In almost all cases, detectable traffic signals are not
needed and may make the intersections more dangerous for blind persons because
of the emission of several tones. I am an 82 year old woman who has no trouble
getting to any destination I desire because I have had excellent mobility
training.
Thank you,
