Republic of Georgia Business Summit (Tbilisi, Georgia - October 27, 2008)

U.S. Commerce Deputy Secretary John Sullivan will host a Business Summit on October 27, 2008, in Tbilisi, Georgia that will highlight trade and investment opportunities in Georgia and share information about how U.S. companies can participate in Georgia’s reconstruction. The U.S.-Georgia Business Summit will include participation by U.S. and Georgian business leaders as well as senior officials of the U.S. and Georgian Governments. Key U.S. Government representatives will include Robert Mosbacher Jr., President and CEO of the Overseas Private Investment Corporation, and Larry Walther, Director of the U.S. Trade and Development Agency. Do you sell to the European Union? Are you ready for REACH?

Time is running out. Are your chemicals preregistered for export to countries within the European Union? REACH compliance will be key to avoid trade disruptions and to remain present and competitive in the EU market.

REACH applies not only to chemical companies but to all sectors using chemicals. Electronic and electrical equipment, automotive, aerospace, cosmetics, textiles, and paints are just few examples of sectors that will be impacted by REACH.

The first REACH responsibilities are taking place between June 1 and December 1, 2008, so it is critical that companies are REACH-ready by December 1.

This event will address important questions surrounding REACH including: deadlines & timelines; preregistration; the Candidate List; new developments in REACH; and appointing Only Representatives.

U.S. - Serbia IT Business Summit (Chicago, IL - December 2-3, 2008)
