TSA Pittsburgh, including the Federal Air Marshal Service, teamed up with local law enforcement at the Pittsburgh Zoo and PPG Aquarium on May 13 to host booths and activities to distribute prevention and safety brochures from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

About 2,600 children were fingerprinted, 1,100 photographed and 3,000 pamphlets distributed. The information was then given to parents and guardians, with no electronic records kept by any of the agencies.

"Child Safety Day was designed to help keep America's youth safe," said Federal Security Director Joe Terrell. "These records are imperative to aiding police in identifying a missing child and should be a staple in every family. We were proud to be part of this important day."
