As a legally blind citizen, I would like to express my support for detectable warnings in high traffic areas in which life threatening conditions exist: both physical detection systems within transit systems, and audible street crossing signals. I believe that these systems can have Universal design aspects which benefit larger society by providing stimulation of a second sense to indicate dangerous and safe sections of high traffic areas; such locations often overload the primary sense when congested, making this reinforcement helpful for all.
