Law Enforcement
People are our greatest resource, but not all of them are air marshals, and a few are even animals. We developed a variety of programs to increase our reach across the skies and bring already high levels of security to new heights.
Armed Security Officer Program
Armed Security Officers are specially trained law enforcement officers authorized by the TSA to fly onboard each general aviation aircraft operating around our nation's capital. Learn more about the Armed Security Officer Program.
Canine & Explosives Detection
Our puppy program selectively raises and prepares puppies to be future explosive detection dogs within the National Explosives Detection Canine Team Program. Our program is dependent on volunteer families within the San Antonio & Austin community! Get involved with this great program.Crew Member Self-Defense
The Crew Member Self-Defense Training Program provides basic self-defense training to crew members who volunteer for the program. This program is for current flight crew members.
Federal Air Marshals
The Federal Air Marshal Service promotes confidence in the nation's civil aviation system through the effective deployment of Federal Air Marshals (FAMs) to detect, deter, and defeat hostile acts targeting U.S. air carriers, airports, passengers, and crews.
Federal Flight Deck Officer Program
Federal flight deck officers defend against acts of criminal violence or attempting to gain control of an aircraft. The important members of our team are actually flight crew members. The Federal Flight Deck Officer Program trains, qualifies and manages.
