FPI received one comment from an interested party regarding this proposed production, within the 30 days allowed as stated in the December 5, 2007, FedBizOpps notice. FPI responded to the concerns that the interested party had raised. The comments from the interested party and FPI’s response were forwarded to and reviewed by FPI’s Board of Directors. Following consideration of the submitted documentation, the Board approved FPI’s manufacture of shipping and storage containers as a competitive product. They also mandated that FPI would never add shipping and storage containers to its Schedule of Products as a mandatory source product.
