Commercial Solid Door Refrigerators and Freezers

Version 2.0 is currently under development.

Compact Fluorescent Light Bulbs (CFLs)

Revised criteria for CFLs (Version 4.0) was finalized on March 7, 2008 with an effective date of December 2, 2008.

Computers

Version 5.0 is currently under development.

Dishwashers

Furnaces

The Tier 2 requirements in Version 2.0 are currently being revisited.

Imaging Equipment

Criteria for ENERGY STAR qualified Imaging Equipment (Version 1.1) were finalized on October 1, 2008 with an effective date of July 1, 2009.

Monitors/Displays

Version 5.0 is currently under development.

Programmable Thermostats

EPA is committed to finalizing a new ENERGY STAR specification by March 2009 which would go into effect on or before January 1, 2010. If new program requirements are not identified in this timeframe, a suspenstion of the ENERGY STAR specification for programmable thermostats will go into effect as of December 31, 2009.

Residential and Residential-Style Commercial Clothes Washers

Version 2.0 is currently under development.

Residential Light Fixtures

EPA has made a technical amendment to the to Version 4.2 specification which added test procedures for qualification of fixtures employing LED light engines.

Residential Ventilating Fans

EPA is considering possible revisions to the current Version 2.0 specification.

Residential Windows, Doors and Skylights

This specification is currently under development.

Set-top Boxes

Criteria for ENERGY STAR qualified Set-top Boxes (Version 2.0) was finalized on April 23, 2008 with an effective date of January 1, 2009.

Telephony

The ENERGY STAR program requirements for Telephony (Version 2.1) were finalized on October 2, 2008 with an effective date of November 1, 2008.
