Employees have the opportunity to take advantage of intensive, skill-based training to enhance their job performance throughout their career.

 

  • USCIS pays tuition expenses for eligible employees who wish to take short courses or pursue a non-degree certificate program in an array of topics that are current, relevant and future-focused. Illustrative areas of study may include leadership, process management, information technology, policy, security, transformation, and multi-agency collaboration.

  • USCIS offers management development programs through the Office of Personnel Management to help newly promoted supervisors assume new responsibilities in people and program management.

  • USCIS offers practical workforce development courses to help employees polish their technical and supervisory skills throughout their careers. Illustrative course offerings include financial management and reporting, acquisition management, effective writing, and managing employees dispersed across multiple occasions.
