Six Vermont Hannaford Stores get ENERGY STAR Label (133KB)

Six Vermont supermarkets owned by Hannaford Bros. Co. here have been awarded the ENERGY STAR label by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, for "demonstrating superior energy performance," according to published reports.The stores are in the Burlington area, St. Albans, Barre, and Rutland.

Food Lion Adds More ENERGY STAR Stores, Launches Campaign to Save Energy in Delis (167KB)

In conjunction with National Energy Awareness Month 2006, Food Lion in Salisbury, NC achieved a major milestone in its energy conservation efforts: Its 600th store has earned the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) ENERGY STAR designation. The chain also launched two energysaving initiatives in its campaign to reduce energy use even further through store employee action.
