Meet ENERGY STAR’s Newest Industrial Partners

Within the past twelve months, the following manufacturers have made a commitment to continuously improve the energy efficiency of their operations. ENERGY STAR welcomes these environmental leaders.

Amcor PET Packaging (October 2007)

Amcor PET Packaging, headquartered in Ann Arbor, Michigan, is a wholly owned subsidiary of The Amcor Group. Amcor PET Packaging produces plastic containers and forms for food and beverage applications as well as the personal care, household chemical and agro-chemical industries. By partnering with ENERGY STAR, Amcor PET Packaging hopes to reduce energy costs while protecting the environment.

American Axle and Manufacturing (March 2008)

Founded in 1994, American Axle and Manufacturing’s (AAM) business is the design, engineering, testing, validation and manufacturing of driveline, drivetrain and chassis systems, related components, and metal formed products. As a new ENERGY STAR partner, AAM will improve its energy efficiency while preserving the environment for future generations.

AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals and AstraZeneca LP (November 2007)

AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals and AstraZeneca LP are pharmaceutical producers with a broad range of medicines designed to fight disease. AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals and AstraZeneca LP have joined ENERGY STAR to improve their management of energy.

Ball Corporation (November 2007)

Ball Corporation is a 127 year old Colorado based producer of metal and plastic packaging for beverages, foods and household products. Additionally they produce aerospace and other technologies and services for commercial and governmental customers. As a new ENERGY STAR Partner, Ball Corporation is committed to protecting the environment through energy efficiency.

Berkshire Biodiesel, LLC (October 2007)

Berkshire Biodiesel, LLC is the Massachusetts-based development arm of NorthWinds Biodiesel, LLC, an affiliate company of NorthWinds Renewables. Berkshire Biodiesel, LLC produces soybean-oil-based biodiesel. As a new ENERGY STAR Partner, Berkshire Biodiesel, LLC is working toward reduced energy use in it operation and a better environment.

Bird Precision (July 2008)

Bird Precision is a precision manufacturer of micro-drilled inserts, fittings, filter components, nozzle, restrictor and orifice applications.

Boise Inc. (June 2008)

Boise Inc. manufactures packaging products and papers including corrugated containers, containerboard, label and release and flexible packaging papers, imaging papers for the office and home, printing and converting papers, newsprint, and market pulp. By partnering with ENERGY STAR, Boise Inc. seeks to improve the energy efficiency of its operations.

Bowles Fluidics Corporation (June 2008)

Bowles Fluidics Corporation is a high volume manufacturer of precision plastic parts and assemblies for use in a variety of industries. As a new ENERGY STAR partner, Bowles Fluidics Corporation has made a commitment to protect the environment by reducing its energy use.

Chase Coating & Laminating (March 2008)

Chase Coating & Laminating, a manufacturer of specialty tapes, laminates, sealings, and coatings, is a new partner of ENERGY STAR. Through ENERGY STAR, the company will pursue greater energy performance and protect the environment.

CFj Manufacturing (October 2008)

CFj Manufacturing is a promotional company that specializes in employee recognition services across all industries and produces premiums and promotional items such as apparel, bags, and office and desk accessories.

Chrysler LLC (May 2008)

Chrysler LLC, an automaker, produces automobiles under the Chrysler, Jeep, and Dodge brands.

ConAgra Foods, Inc (July 2008)

ConAgra Foods is a food producer offering consumer foods under the brands Healthy Choice, Chef Boyardee, Egg Beaters, Hebrew National, Hunt’s, Orville Redenbacher’s, PAM, and Banquet, among others. The company also is a food service supplier providing convenience foods and ingredients.

Consolidated Biscuit Company is a manufacturer of biscuits, baked confectionery, and snack foods

Constar, Inc. (October 2008)

Constar, Inc. designs, manufactures and supplies polyethylene terephthalate (PET) plastic containers for water, soft drinks, food, juices, teas, sport drinks, new age beverages, beer and flavored alcoholic beverages to major brand marketers in the food and beverage industries.

Corn Products U.S. (October 2008)

Corn Products U.S. is a business unit of Corn Products International, Inc., a corn refiner and a supplier of food ingredients and industrial products derived from the wet milling and processing of corn and other starch-based materials. Corn Products International is a supplier of starches, sweeteners and other ingredients, a producer of dextrose, and a manufacturer of starches, syrups and glucose. The company's customers include the food, beverage, pharmaceutical, animal feed, corrugating, paper, and textile sectors.

Crew Design Inc (July 2008)

Crew Design produces advertising displays, signage, fixtures, retail environments and information merchandising.

Cummins-Allison Corporation (July 2008)

Cummins-Allison Corporation is a designer, manufacturer, and distributor of coin and currency handling solutions.

Curtiss Wright Flow Control (June 2008)

Curtiss-Wright Flow Control, located in East Farmingdale, New York, designs and manufactures highly engineered valves, pumps, electronics and related products for the commercial nuclear power industry, oil and gas processing facilities, and national defense programs. By joining as a new ENERGY STAR partner, Curtiss-Wright Flow Control has made a commitment to aid in preserving the environment for future generations through energy efficiency.

Diageo (October 2008)

Diageo is a premium drinks business with a collection of beverage alcohol brands across spirits, wine and beer categories. These brands include: Smirnoff, Johnnie Walker, Captain Morgan, Baileys, J&B, José Cuervo, Tanqueray, Guinness, Crown Royal, Beaulieu Vineyard and Sterling Vineyards wines, and Bushmills Irish whiskey. This company has manufacturing facilities across the globe including Great Britain, Ireland, United States, Canada, Spain, Italy, Africa, Latin America, Australia, India and the Caribbean.

Fetter Printing Company (July 2008)

Fetter Printing Company is a label provider for the paint and coating industry.

Formosa Plastics Corporation, Lousiana (December 2007)

Formosa Plastics Corporation, Lousiana, part of the Formosa Plastics Corporation, USA and Taiwan’s Formosa Plastics Corporation, is a producer of plastic resins and petrochemicals. In joining ENERGY STAR as a partner, it aims to improve its energy efficiency while preserving the environment and reducing company costs.

Four Seasons Produce, Inc. (May 2008)

Four Seasons Produce, Inc. is an importer and distributor of fresh produce.

GCC of America (December 2007)

GCC of America, a subsidiary of the Mexican based company GCC, S.A., is a producer of cement, concrete and aggregates with plants in the central part of the U.S. As a new ENERGY STAR Partner, GCC of America has made a fundamental commitment to protect the environment through continuous improvement of their energy performance.

General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems (December 2007)

General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems, based in Scottsdale, Arizona, develops, designs and manufactures communication, information and technology systems for the defense industry. General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems employs approximately 11,000 people worldwide. As a new ENERGY STAR Partner General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems is working toward a cleaner environment while saving energy.

General Dynamics, Electric Boat Corporation (March 2008)

The business of General Dynamics' Electric Boat Corporation is the design, construction and lifecycle support of submarines for the U.S. Navy. Primary operations are the shipyard in Groton, CT, and the automated hull-fabrication and outfitting facility in Quonset Point, RI. Electric Boat Corporation's commitment as an ENERGY STAR partner reflects their dedication to energy-efficient operations.

Graham Packaging Company, L.P. (October 2008)

Graham Packaging Company conducts the design, sale, and manufacturing of custom blow-molded plastic containers for branded foods and beverages, personal care and specialty products, household products, chemical-based products, and automotive lubricants.

Graphic Packaging International (July 2008)

Graphic Packaging International provides paperboard packaging solutions for products to multinational and other consumer products companies.

Great Northern Corporation (October 2008)

Great Northern Corporation designs, develops, and manufactures packaging and display solutions for the industrial, commercial, and retail markets. The company produces a wide range of packaging and display products including corrugated and custom packaging, edge and roll protection, and point-of-purchase displays and signage.

Group O (October 2008)

Group O is a provider of products and services, specializing in packaging, supply chain and marketing solutions. Group O is a distributor of secondary packaging materials, equipment, parts and services.

Hanesbrands Inc. (October 2007)

Hanesbrands Inc., a publicly traded company, is based in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Hanesbrands Inc. produces apparel under the name brands, Hanes, Champion, Playtex, Bali, Leggs, Just My Size, Barely There, Wonderbra and others. Hanesbrands Inc. has partnered with ENERGY STAR to save energy while demonstrating good environmental stewardship.

Heifer International’s Overlook Farm (April 2007)

Heifer International’s Overlook Farm is a 270-acre working farm with a mission of educating its visitors about world hunger, poverty and solutions to these issues. As a new ENERGY STAR Partner, Heifer International’s Overlook Farm hopes to also educate the public about energy-efficient farming operations and their positive impact on out environment.

HEMCO Corporation (October 2008)

HEMCO Corporation is a manufacturer and distributer of basic laboratory equipment including laboratory hoods, furniture, enclosures, and clean rooms that also serves R&D, Life Science & Technology Industries and work with Architects, Engineers, Lab Planners, Contractors and Customers to complete lab projects.

Hess Corporation (December 2007)

Hess Corporation, headquartered in New York, New York, is an independent energy company working to produce crude oil and natural gas. It is also engaged in refining and marketing petroleum products, natural gas, and electricity. By partnering up with ENERGY STAR, Hess hopes to improve the energy efficiency of its operations.

Ideal Snacks Corporation (May 2008)

Ideal Snacks Corporation is a snack manufacturer with products that take a holistic approach to healthy snacks through taste, texture, aroma, ingredients and health benefits.

J. R. Simplot (October 2007)

The J. R. Simplot Company is an Idaho based, privately held, food producer and agribusiness that produces frozen potato products, beef products, fertilizer and more. As a new ENERGY STAR Partner, J. R. Simplot is working towards a reduction in energy use and a sustainable environment.

John B. Sanfilippo & Son, Inc. (August 2007)

John B. Sanfilippo & Son, Inc. is a publicly traded U.S. based company that makes a myriad of snack foods under the Fisher, Sunshine Country and Evon’s brands including nuts, jellies, baking products and more. John B. Sanfilippo & Son, Inc. has joined as an ENERGY STAR Partner to protect the environment and provide its customers value by reducing its energy use.

Kimberly-Clark Corporation (August 2007)

Kimberly-Clark Corporation is a publicly traded, multinational health and hygiene company based in Dallas, Texas. Their products include those sold under the brand names Kleenex, Scott, Andrex, Huggies, Pull-Ups, Kotex, Poise and Depend. As a new ENERGY STAR Partner, Kimberly-Clark Corporation seeks to reduce energy use and help maintain a clean environment.

Loders Croklaan USA, LLC (October 2008)

Loders Croklaan is a producer of oils, fats and nutritional ingredients, with the core business focused around palm oil and palm-based products for the food industry.

Norseman Plastics (October 2008)

Norseman Plastics designs and manufactures reusable and recycling plastic packaging for supply chain and materials handling applications. Such applications include bakery, beverage, meat, poultry, dairy, agriculture, and food services.

The NutraSweet Company (October 2008)

The NutraSweet Company produces and sells NutraSweet®, the company's brand name for the sweetener aspartame to makers of food and beverages, and as a tabletop sweetener.

Oak State Products, Inc (April 2008)

Oak State Products, Inc is a contract manufacturer providing baked products for the food industry.
