Bullet
VITA and EITC Resources

CCDO and the Internal Revenue Service partnered to launch Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) centers to promote asset development for low-income individuals and families. The centers help people learn about the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC), which can help Weed and Seed families receive as much as $4,400 per year; add in Child Tax Credits and a working family with two children can receive up to $6,400 annually as tax credit. The EITC and other programs can help a family open a bank account, purchase a car, or make a down payment on a house.
