Results of the NAEP 2008 long-term trend assessment in reading and mathematics will be released in the spring of 2009. The assessment was administered to students throughout the nation from January to March 2008.

The last long-term trend assessment to be administered by NAEP was in 2004. The assessment was given to approximately 75,000 students at ages 9, 13, and 17 in public and nonpublic schools throughout the nation.      More
